"Fashion design is so diverse. It does not have clear identities as before with Balenciaga, Chanel, Cardin, Courreges. Design is about being recognised without a label. Elegance alone is not sufficient." -Pierre Cardin
The eternal futurist of fashion, Pierre Cardin, has reopened his museum in the more central Marais district, rather than the parisian suburbs. The exhibit showcases Cardin's 60 year career through over 200 fashion pieces including accessories, jewellery and furniture. The designer is known for his geometric shapes, vibrant colours, structured dresses and simplistic designs.
Marais is an incredible area of Paris with its quirky boutiques and quaint coffee shops, and of course beautiful scenery. I'd love to visit this museum next time I take a trip there (on my wish list to go back very soon!).
What do you think of Pierre Cardin's museum? Let me know!
